Caution: Animals Crossing
Have you ever wondered about those Cow signs on the side of the road?
Well I have, and I thought they were just a warning that maybe a cow could walk by if a fence was to break and they got loose… well not in Utah!
The cows there own the roads and walk where they want when they want very slowly!
Another example of the slow walking road owning cows was this bull who decided to play a game of chicken with us in Capitol Reef National Park.
Have you seen the Matthew McConaughey Lincoln commercial when he meets up with the bull he calls Sirus?
Well I’m guessing this guy was Sirus’ little brother!
But unlike Matthew, we stood our ground and watched the bull meander around us while our dogs lost their minds barking at him. To be fair we had an advantage over Matthew… no bull is going to face down a 3500 Ram Dually with 2 barking chihuahuas!
Now Colorado has polite animals. They will cross the road but are pretty respectful of our human rules. Like this one crossing at the Deer Crossing sign or this other at a Crosswalk.
Safety first for the Colorado animals!
But still caution is required when you come across one like this big black horny guy!
